We are so fortunate as a school to have access to iPads and up-to-date and relevant technology, providing an engaging and purposeful Computing curriculum. The table below shows the intent behind our Computing curriculum, how we implement it and the impact it has on our children.
The Computing Curriculum is designed to encourage independent use of technology, foster creativity, empower pupils through coding and teach them to use technology safely and responsibly.
One big change to the curriculum this year is the greater focussed places on 'unplugged' activities to develop children's computational thinking and logical reasoning skills.
Where appropriate, we link our Computing curriculum to our whole-school topic. The table below shows the Computing units for Woodlands pathway for this academic year 2023-24:
