Welcome to Lions class

On a Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday Mrs Gallon is our class teacher and Mrs Patterson is our teacher on Thursday and Friday. Our teaching assistants are Heather, Dean and Shaun. Sandra also supports us during the week and Clare is our lunch time supervisor.

We have Forest School every Monday and we will be going outside, whatever the weather, so please send in some forest school clothes and shoes/boots that you don't mind getting dirty. PE is on a Wednesday.  

This term we are looking at the human lifecycle and Healthy Me Topic!

This week Lions class have been tasting and playing with food as part of our healthy Me topic. We have also been filling and emptying containers!





Lions held the mornings assembly by introducing themselves as 'Shine Like a Star Morris May Day Dancers', all the children enjoyed ringing their bells in rhythm whilst dancing around the maypole.

We have visited Mount Pleasant Farm! Have a look at our photo album on the left hand side, to see what we got up to!

Our Topic has been Mayans and Rain Forest

We have been learning all about shapes in maths lessons!


This term we have been learning gymnastics in PE and practising our balancing and travelling skills.





STEM Day (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)

On Friday we enjoyed dressing up as elves and making toys in Santa's workshop with our friends from Foxes class. We sold our items at the Christmas Market in the afternoon. We had a fun day at Lions!



 Children in Need 

This week in Lions we are celebrating and supporting Children in Need! We met Pudsey Bear and made Pudsey ears for our parade. We also made cakes for our bake sale!




We have been learning all about The Gruffalo  and we have enjoyed our sensory storytelling with our class teacher!


              In science we have been investigating materials and their properties!


 We have been using our fine motor skills to help with our mark making!


In Maths we have been looking at empty and full!
